About Background Remover

Your images are never uploaded. All background removal happens locally in your browser using an AI model that runs on your device. The photos you add, and the transparent PNGs you create, stay on your device. We have no server that receives, stores or views them — there is nothing to leak, sell or hand over.

Accounts and personal data

The tool needs no account and asks for no personal information. We don't run our own analytics or trackers on this page.

Files the page loads

To work, the page downloads code and the AI model from public content-delivery networks (the background-removal library and its model files). Those networks necessarily see a standard web request (like your IP address) when serving those files — the same as loading any website. Your images are never part of those requests.
